Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, has arrived in New York for an official visit scheduled from May 26 to 28. During this trip, he will take part in a high-level session of the United Nations Security Council, which is set to gather senior diplomats from around the world to discuss critical international issues.
In addition to the Security Council meeting, Dar is expected to conduct bilateral talks with foreign ministers from various countries as well as senior United Nations officials. These meetings aim to enhance diplomatic cooperation and address topics of shared interest.
Upon his arrival, Ishaq Dar was welcomed by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and the country’s Consul General in New York. This visit underscores Pakistan’s ongoing engagement with the UN system and offers a platform to articulate the nation’s stance on significant global and regional developments at a prominent international forum.
