Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to combating terrorism with full resolve until enduring peace and stability are established throughout Pakistan. He delivered these remarks during the investiture ceremony held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
In a significant development, the field marshal presented military awards to soldiers and officers in recognition of their extraordinary courage during operations and their distinguished service to the country. The honors included 50 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 12 Tamgha-i-Basalat medals. Families of martyrs received these medals posthumously with great respect.
Paying homage to the martyrs and veterans, CDF Munir described them as the nation’s pride, emphasizing that their sacrifices constitute a sacred trust for Pakistan. He highlighted that the peace and security enjoyed by the country are the result of the supreme sacrifices and steadfast dedication of the armed forces personnel.
Meanwhile, the field marshal also acknowledged the resilience and dignity of the families of the Shuhada, recognizing their ongoing sacrifices and unwavering support for the nation’s cause.
