In a significant development, Kuwait has declared that all government offices will be closed from June 26 to June 29 in observance of the Eid al-Adha holiday. This closure aligns with the traditional celebration period of one of the most important Islamic festivals, which honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The announcement serves as an official notification for residents and businesses to plan accordingly during this festive period.

Eid al-Adha is a major religious event celebrated by Muslims worldwide, and in Kuwait, it is marked by various cultural and religious activities. The government’s decision to close offices ensures that public servants and citizens alike can participate fully in the holiday’s observances. Meanwhile, essential services are expected to continue operating with limited staff to maintain critical functions.

The closure of government offices during Eid al-Adha has a notable impact on administrative processes, including visa services, licensing, and other public sector operations. Residents and expatriates are advised to complete any urgent government-related tasks before the holiday period. This temporary suspension of services highlights the importance of Eid al-Adha in Kuwaiti society and reflects the government’s commitment to honoring cultural and religious traditions.
