A special cultural evening commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China was held at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad. The event, co-organized with the Diplomatic Insight Group, was recorded and scheduled for broadcast nationwide on Pakistan Television (PTV) at 11:10 PM, allowing viewers to witness the milestone celebration of the enduring friendship between the two countries.
The evening featured a vibrant array of artistic performances, traditional music, and heritage stalls that showcased the culinary and social customs of both nations. This cultural gala aimed to deepen people-to-people connections and promote cultural diplomacy as part of the broader festivities marking the formal establishment of diplomatic ties in May 1951.
Organizers highlighted the importance of such events in preserving and passing on the legacy of this unique bilateral relationship to future generations. In a significant development, several senior dignitaries from both countries addressed the gathering, emphasizing the strategic importance of their partnership.
Representing Pakistan, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar attended the ceremony. They were accompanied by Federal Secretary Information Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil. From China, Deputy Head of Mission Shi Yuanqiang was present. All speakers reiterated their dedication to ongoing socio-economic collaboration and the strengthening of the strategic alliance between Islamabad and Beijing.
