The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is set to introduce an exclusive “Meet and Assist” service at Islamabad International Airport, designed to provide expedited assistance, transportation facilitation, and lounge access for travelers. This initiative aims to enhance the passenger experience by offering tailored support.
Available exclusively through advance reservations made via a digital platform, bookings must be completed at least six hours before the scheduled travel time, as outlined by PAA Director Commercial Rabia Salma. The service targets a diverse group of passengers, including senior citizens, business travelers, and diplomats, and will feature pick-up and drop-off options between their homes and the airport.
Passengers opting for this service will benefit from fast-track boarding and clearance procedures, although handling of passports and travel documents will remain outside the service’s scope to comply with regulatory requirements. Additional amenities include access to CIP lounges, dedicated premium assistance, and availability of buggies and wheelchair support for those eligible.
The service will be offered in tiered packages: the platinum package priced at $100, the gold at $75, and the silver at $50. This pricing structure is expected to generate approximately $23,000 in monthly revenue for the PAA, which will also receive a 10 percent share from the service earnings, Rabia Salma.
