Katy Perry is scheduled to headline the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, showcasing her talent on a prominent global platform shortly after concluding her Lifetimes Tour. The 41-year-old pop icon will take the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on June 12, just before the opening match between the United States and Paraguay.
Her performance is part of a diverse entertainment lineup that includes artists such as Future, Lisa, Tyla, Anitta, Rema, and DJ Sanjoy. Notably, Tyla will also play a key role in the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City on June 11, where Mexico will face South Africa at the historic Azteca Stadium. This event will feature performances by Alejandro Fernández, Danny Ocean, Lila Downs, Belinda, J Balvin, as well as groups like Los Ángeles Azules and Maná.
Meanwhile, Canada’s opening ceremony at Toronto’s BMO Field will present a variety of artists including Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, William Prince, Elyanna, Vegedream, and DJ Sanjoy. This lineup will precede Canada’s match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Organizers have confirmed that entertainment segments will commence roughly 90 minutes before each match, enhancing the pre-game experience for fans worldwide.
Perry’s participation in the FIFA World Cup ceremony marks a significant moment in her career, coming shortly after she wrapped up her Lifetimes Tour in December 2025, further solidifying her presence on major international stages.
