Iran Envoy Commends Pakistan’s Role in Regional Diplomatic Talks

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, lauded Islamabad’s diplomatic initiatives on Tuesday, recognizing the country’s role in promoting dialogue and coordination in ongoing regional affairs. He specifically acknowledged the contributions of Pakistan’s foreign office and senior leadership in these efforts.

In a message shared on social media platform X, Moghadam referred to diplomats as “architects of peace,” emphasizing their critical function in managing complex international relations through dialogue and mutual understanding. He extended his “sincere and profound appreciation” to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for their relentless behind-the-scenes work.

He noted that their dedicated efforts transform political will and principled resolve into practical frameworks and arrangements essential for any diplomatic process to unfold. Moghadam highlighted that such work often starts well before formal negotiations, involving meticulous coordination and facilitation that enable talks to proceed.

“This is diplomacy in its truest form — not just words, but the quiet, persistent effort that makes dialogue feasible and peace achievable,” the ambassador stated, praising the professionalism and dedication of Pakistan’s diplomatic corps.

These comments come amid Pakistan’s active role in fostering regional dialogue, including discreet contacts related to tensions involving Iran and the United States. Although officials have shared limited public information about these engagements, Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to diplomatic solutions for regional conflicts. The country continues to position itself as a potential mediator amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
