Islamabad United posted a total of 138 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after being sent in to bat against Rawalpindiz at the National Stadium Karachi during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The innings began on a shaky note as Sameer Minhas struggled to make an impact, scoring only six runs off 11 deliveries before his early dismissal put pressure on the team’s top order.

Opener Devon Conway played a steady and composed innings, scoring 40 runs off 33 balls, including three boundaries and two sixes. Despite his efforts, he lacked substantial support from the other batsmen.

The middle order tried to stabilize the innings with contributions from Chris Green and Mark Chapman, who scored 29 and 23 runs respectively. However, neither batsman was able to convert their starts into a significant score.

Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals, with Haider Ali adding six runs. Meanwhile, Muhammad Hasnain and Richard Gleeson were dismissed without scoring. Faheem Ashraf contributed 11 runs, but captain Shadab Khan was unable to make a notable impact with the bat.

Rawalpindiz’s bowlers maintained disciplined lines and lengths throughout the innings, applying consistent pressure. Mohammad Amir, Saad Masood, and Dian Forrester each took two wickets, while Naseem Shah, Asif Afridi, and Daryl Mitchell claimed one wicket apiece.

Ultimately, Islamabad United managed to set a competitive total of 138 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. With a target that is challenging yet achievable, the match now hinges on how Rawalpindiz approach their chase against Islamabad United’s bowling attack.
