In Islamabad, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday. During the discussion, the prime minister extended his warm regards to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction with the strong progress in Pakistan-China bilateral relations, emphasizing Pakistan’s pride in its enduring all-weather strategic partnership with China. He reiterated his commitment to deepening cooperation with Chinese leadership to further strengthen this vital relationship.
In a significant development, the meeting also covered the evolving regional dynamics in the Middle East alongside Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote peace in the region. The ambassador acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving lasting stability and expressed gratitude for the prime minister’s reception.
Furthermore, the Chinese envoy reaffirmed China’s dedication to enhancing the robust ties between the two countries, aiming to elevate the partnership to new heights as envisioned by President Xi Jinping.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch were also present during the meeting.
