The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has unveiled a new system designed to manage arms licensing more efficiently across Pakistan. This initiative seeks to modernize the application and approval process, making it more transparent and user-friendly for applicants. By integrating advanced technology, the system aims to reduce processing times and minimize the risk of fraudulent licenses.

In a significant development for public safety and regulatory oversight, the updated framework will enable better tracking and monitoring of licensed firearms. This move aligns with broader government efforts to strengthen law enforcement capabilities and ensure responsible ownership of arms. The system is expected to facilitate coordination between NADRA and other security agencies, enhancing overall national security.

Meanwhile, the introduction of this new arms licensing platform reflects NADRA’s commitment to leveraging digital solutions for critical administrative functions. It also addresses longstanding challenges related to manual processing and paperwork delays. As the system rolls out nationwide, it is anticipated to improve compliance with legal requirements and support safer communities across Pakistan.
