In Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organized a significant rally that drew a substantial number of party workers united in their support for founder Imran Khan and demanding his release. The event was part of PTI’s ongoing political campaign, attracting participants from across the province.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi oversaw the event’s arrangements and encouraged party members to ensure maximum attendance. Upon arrival, the leadership was greeted enthusiastically by the crowd, who chanted slogans backing Imran Khan and called for intensified mobilisation efforts.

During his address, Afridi unveiled a Rs50 billion development package for Mardan, emphasizing the provincial government’s dedication to equitable progress aligned with Imran Khan’s vision. PTI leaders also reiterated their commitment to sustaining the protest movement, announcing forthcoming political activities including visits to Azad Kashmir on April 25 and Lahore on May 1.

The rally passed several resolutions addressing critical issues such as inflation, unemployment, and soaring electricity costs. Additionally, participants demanded medical care for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, alongside the release of political detainees.

Solidarity was also expressed on regional peace matters, with calls supporting diplomatic initiatives aimed at fostering stability within Pakistan and the broader region. Party officials highlighted that the strong turnout in Mardan demonstrates ongoing public support for Imran Khan and the readiness of workers to engage in future party-led actions.
