Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar participated in a series of high-level diplomatic engagements during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, focusing on regional stability and strengthening bilateral relations.

In a notable development aimed at boosting South Asian diplomacy, Dar held a detailed meeting with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Khalilur Rahman. The two ministers conducted an extensive review of the bilateral ties between Islamabad and Dhaka, emphasizing the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation on critical regional matters.

This interaction took place amid a prestigious gathering of global diplomats and is seen as a crucial step toward fostering mutual understanding and collaboration on pressing issues affecting the region.

In addition to discussions with Bangladesh, Dar also engaged in a telephonic conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Both leaders reaffirmed the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye, highlighting the need for close coordination to address the complexities of the current geopolitical environment.

Beyond bilateral relations, the Antalya forum provided a platform for broader discussions on regional security challenges. Dar and other participating diplomats stressed the forum’s significance as a venue for collective dialogue on global and regional instability.

Pakistan’s delegation used the opportunity to advocate for multilateral approaches aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region. These diplomatic efforts underscore Pakistan’s proactive foreign policy, which seeks to enhance economic and political ties with neighboring countries while contributing to regional peace through strengthened cooperation.
