On April 12, while the rest of the cast gathered for the 7 pm screening, Zendaya did not appear until 8 pm. She bypassed the group photo session, instead greeting close friend Hunter Schafer and director Sam Levinson before being escorted inside by her team.
Rumors of discord between Zendaya and Sweeney have circulated for several months, with reports suggesting the two avoid each other both on and off set. The premiere’s red carpet event intensified these speculations, as the two were not photographed together at any point.
