Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to commence a four-day official tour to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey starting Wednesday, April 15, 2026, as part of Pakistan’s active diplomatic efforts amid potential renewed US-Iran peace negotiations.
The foreign ministry confirmed that the visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, with discussions centered on ongoing cooperation as well as regional peace and security concerns. These visits aim to reinforce Pakistan’s ties with both Gulf nations.
In a significant development, the Prime Minister will also attend the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, where he will join the Leaders’ Panel alongside other global figures to share Pakistan’s viewpoints on key international issues. This platform will also provide opportunities for bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other prominent world leaders.
Accompanying Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on this diplomatic mission will be Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, along with other senior government officials. The visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to active regional engagement and multilateral diplomacy.
