The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has escalated its efforts to eliminate illegal housing projects by demolishing an unauthorized scheme and sealing its office located on Narwala Road. The enforcement operation was conducted under the direct supervision of the Director of Town Planning, Asma Mohsin, along with Deputy Director Faran Siddiqui.
During inspections of multiple housing developments, the FDA team discovered that the ‘Grand City’ scheme was being constructed illegally on land in Chak No.59-JB on Narwala Road without meeting the necessary legal criteria. In response, the enforcement team promptly demolished the ongoing construction, sealed the scheme’s office, and confiscated office equipment.
The developer has been instructed to fulfill all mandatory legal and departmental requirements before proceeding with the housing project. Authorities have also warned that any further violations may result in criminal charges against those responsible.
Meanwhile, the FDA has urged the public to exercise caution when dealing with housing schemes and to avoid investing in unauthorized projects. Citizens are encouraged to verify the legal status of any housing development prior to purchasing plots or making investments. For assistance and verification, the Town Planning Department of the FDA remains available to provide guidance.
