Saurabh Shukla recently discussed his experience working alongside Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the highly anticipated film King. This project marks the first time Khan will share the screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan, creating significant buzz in the industry.
In a detailed conversation, Shukla praised Khan’s professionalism, emphasizing the discipline and dedication he consistently brings to the set. He highlighted that both Shah Rukh and Suhana have demonstrated an exceptional work ethic throughout the filming process, fostering a focused and collaborative atmosphere. Their commitment to the craft reflects a profound respect for the art of filmmaking.
Reflecting on his earlier work with Khan in Baadshah (1999), Shukla recalled that their interactions were limited at the time, as Khan was still ascending in his career. Comparing that period to the present, he noted a significant transformation in Khan’s demeanor, describing him now as more grounded, composed, and polished—traits shaped by decades of experience at the pinnacle of the film industry.
Shukla also remarked that Khan’s rise from a promising actor to a global icon is not only a testament to his talent but also to his strategic approach and unwavering consistency over the years.
In a notable development, Shukla touched upon Khan’s role as a father, commending his parenting style. He observed that Shah Rukh appears dedicated to supporting Suhana in establishing her own identity within the industry, rather than overshadowing her achievements.
King is poised to be a landmark film, not just for its star power but for uniting two generations of the Khan family on screen for the first time. The film is scheduled for release on December 24.
Suhana Khan began her acting journey with the short film The Grey Part of Blue (2019) and later made her official Bollywood debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023) on Netflix.
