Lady Gaga has called off her scheduled concert in Montreal following urgent medical advice due to a deteriorating respiratory infection. The pop superstar shared the news on Monday, April 6, expressing her regret in an emotional message to fans on Instagram Stories.
She disclosed that she had been ill for several days but had hoped to recover in time to perform. However, her condition worsened, prompting her doctor to strongly recommend she avoid the stage. “I’m deeply sorry to announce that I cannot perform tonight and must cancel the show,” she stated.
Gaga explained that despite her efforts to rest and recuperate, the infection intensified. She acknowledged that she would not be able to deliver the quality of performance her audience deserves. “I know this is incredibly disappointing, and I feel terrible about letting you down,” she added.
She also apologized to everyone who had planned to attend, emphasizing how meaningful her previous shows in Montreal had been. The canceled concert was intended to be the third and final stop at Montreal’s Bell Centre as part of her ongoing Mayhem Ball Tour. Gaga had successfully performed there on April 2 and 3, describing those experiences as “magical and deeply meaningful.”
