A court in Islamabad has granted interim bail to Dr Fazeela Abbasi in connection with allegations surrounding an illegal medical clinic. The decision was made by Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar, who approved her bail on the condition of surety bonds amounting to Rs50,000. The court also instructed Dr Abbasi to cooperate fully by joining the ongoing investigation.
Dr Abbasi is concurrently facing a separate legal challenge involving a money laundering case registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The FIA has initiated two distinct cases against her, invoking anti-money laundering and anti-corruption statutes. These cases form part of a wider government effort to clamp down on financial misconduct and unauthorized medical operations across the country.
In a significant development, authorities have intensified their scrutiny of alleged irregularities in the healthcare sector, aiming to uphold regulatory standards and ensure accountability. The ongoing investigations reflect a broader crackdown on unlawful practices that undermine public trust and legal compliance.
Meanwhile, the legal proceedings against Dr Abbasi continue to unfold, with the court’s interim bail decision providing temporary relief as the inquiries proceed. The case remains under active investigation, with further updates expected as the judicial process advances.
