A Super Junior concert held at the KSPO Dome in Seoul on April 5 took a distressing turn when a safety barricade collapsed, injuring three audience members. The incident occurred during the group’s final encore performance as member Ryeowook engaged with fans near the seating area.

As Ryeowook reached out to the crowd, the safety fence suddenly gave way, causing several fans to fall to a lower level. Ryeowook appeared visibly shaken and stepped back from the stage before seeking help. Fellow member Siwon quickly approached the affected area to check on the injured attendees.

In a statement following the event, SM Entertainment confirmed that three fans were hurt due to the collapse of the safety barriers. The injured were immediately taken to a hospital where they underwent medical examinations and received treatment. Medical professionals recommended approximately two weeks of rest for their recovery.

The agency expressed sincere apologies to the injured fans and their families, pledging full support for their treatment and recovery. SM Entertainment also announced plans to investigate the cause of the accident thoroughly and to enhance safety protocols at future events.

One of the injured fans later recounted her experience on social media, noting that Ryeowook and Siwon visited them at the hospital. She shared, “When we fell, Ryeowook and Siwon immediately came offstage. We were sent to the nearby hospital immediately.” Additionally, group leader Leeteuk addressed the situation during a livestream, assuring fans, “We will try our very best to help ELF in their recovery. We are very sorry.”
