Karachi’s weather turned noticeably cooler and more pleasant following light drizzling in multiple parts of the city, including Gulshan Maymar, Ahsan Abad, Super Highway, and the outskirts. These areas experienced intermittent drizzle with occasional breaks.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecasted light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Karachi and other regions of Sindh on Monday, April 6, and Tuesday, April 7. This weather pattern is attributed to a system currently influencing the area, which may also bring strong winds to the city.

In a significant development, a westerly wave entered Baluchistan from Iran on the night of April 4, expected to affect Sindh’s weather conditions by causing light to moderate rainfall over the next two days. Besides Karachi, districts such as Jamshoro, Dadu, Kambar Shahdadkot, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Thatta, Badin, and Sujawal are also likely to receive rain.

Earlier forecasts indicated that another western disturbance would approach western Baluchistan on the evening of April 5, with its effects persisting in the northern parts of the province until April 9. This system is expected to bring rain and thunderstorms, including isolated heavy showers and hailstorms, to districts such as Chagai, Dalbandin, Kharan, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Mastung, Sibbi, Kohlu, Naseerabad, and Loralai until April 7.

Additionally, on April 6, rainfall and thunderstorms are forecasted for Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran districts, as well as the Makran Coast areas including Gwadar, Pasni, Ormara, and Lasbella.
