Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar recently engaged in a telephone discussion with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to deliberate on the shifting dynamics in the region. During this important exchange, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and highlighted the critical need for resolving conflicts through peaceful dialogue and diplomatic channels.

In a significant development, both Pakistani and Iranian officials agreed to sustain close communication as the situation continues to evolve. This ongoing dialogue underscores Islamabad’s dedication to playing a constructive role in fostering stability amid growing regional uncertainties.

Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar also held a separate phone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, where they reviewed the latest regional developments and current diplomatic efforts. Both sides emphasized the importance of dialogue and de-escalation, agreeing to maintain regular contact to coordinate their approaches toward peace and stability.

Pakistan has positioned itself as a neutral mediator amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, offering its capital as a potential venue for dialogue between the conflicting parties. This initiative is part of Islamabad’s broader strategy to ease regional hostilities, especially following recent US and Israeli military actions targeting Iranian sites. Through these diplomatic engagements, Pakistan aims to contribute meaningfully to regional peace and security.
