Lisa Kudrow recently revisited the 1997 cult comedy Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, expressing deep admiration for her co-star Alan Cumming. During an interview, the 62-year-old actress watched a scene from the film and enthusiastically praised Cumming’s energetic performance.
She described him as a powerful presence on screen, saying, “Alan Cumming, come on. He’s such a force,” emphasizing the vibrant energy he contributed to the movie. Kudrow also shared how thrilled she was upon learning that Cumming would be joining the cast, and how meeting him in person only increased her respect for him.
Highlighting his personality, she noted, “He was so good. And then getting to meet him — and he’s so fun and light, so down to earth, but still like a little bit of that — oh, what is it? I don’t know — joie de vivre.” She likened his presence to that of Parker Posey, another actor in the film, whom she described as an “event” in her own right.
Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, which also stars Mira Sorvino, tells the story of two friends who reinvent themselves while attending their high school reunion in Arizona. The film has developed a devoted fan following over the years and continues to connect with audiences today.
