Eugene Mirman, renowned for voicing Gene Belcher on the animated series Bob’s Burgers, sustained serious injuries after being rescued from a burning vehicle following a crash in New Hampshire. The incident occurred on March 31 at a toll plaza in Bedford, where Mirman was involved in a single-car accident.
New Hampshire State Police reported that the vehicle caught fire upon impact, trapping Mirman inside. A state trooper who arrived at the scene saw the car engulfed in flames and managed to pull Mirman out through a window, ensuring his safety. Notably, bystanders and New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte also assisted during the rescue efforts.
Mirman was promptly transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Authorities have confirmed that no charges have been filed in connection with the crash, and the cause remains under investigation.
In a statement released on Mirman’s behalf, the accident was described as a “very scary car accident.” The statement expressed gratitude toward the first responders and those who helped in the rescue, while requesting privacy for Mirman and his family as he focuses on his recovery.
Beyond his iconic role on Bob’s Burgers, Mirman has appeared in television shows such as Flight of the Conchords, Broad City, and Archer. His film credits include The Bob’s Burgers Movie and Confess, Fletch. Additionally, he co-founded the comedy production company Pretty Good Friends.
