Cardi B Launches Haircare Brand, Dismisses Competition with Beyoncé and Rihanna

Cardi B is confidently entering the beauty industry with the launch of her new haircare brand, Grow-Good Beauty, set for April 15. The 33-year-old rapper emphasized that her focus is not on competing with established celebrity brands like Beyoncé’s Cécred and Rihanna’s Fenty, but rather on promoting healthy hair growth.

During an interview on Aspire with Emma Grede, Cardi quickly dismissed any notion of rivalry in the already crowded market. When questioned about joining a saturated industry, she responded firmly that the goal is not competition but providing effective haircare solutions. Cardi expressed admiration for her fellow celebrity entrepreneurs, particularly praising Beyoncé’s line as “very f—king good,” a compliment she offered with full confidence.

In a significant development, Cardi also shared her inclusive approach to haircare, rejecting the idea of “bad hair” or defining “good” hair by texture. She stated, “All hair is good,” highlighting her brand’s commitment to diversity and acceptance.

Grow-Good Beauty seems to be a natural progression of Cardi’s personal haircare practices, which she has openly shared with her fans. During the 2020 pandemic, she gained attention for her homemade hair mask recipe using avocado, eggs, and mayonnaise. She continued to share unconventional haircare tips, including washing her hair with boiled onion water in 2022, underscoring her unique approach to hair health.
