In a significant development, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held talks with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, focusing on the evolving political landscape and potential new alliances in Sindh and Balochistan.

The discussions centered on ongoing attempts to integrate Maulana Fazal ur Rehman and his party into prospective power-sharing frameworks, especially in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. Bilawal Bhutto extended a formal invitation to explore political collaboration with JUI-F.

However, Maulana Fazal ur Rehman maintained a cautious stance, indicating that any decision regarding political alignment would be made only after thorough consultations within his party, keeping his position reserved for the time being.

Meanwhile, political activity in Sindh has intensified, with opposition factions reportedly striving to incorporate JUI-F into a broader opposition coalition. Leaders from the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) have also approached Maulana Fazal ur Rehman as part of these efforts.

A GDA delegation is scheduled to meet with Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, where discussions are expected to include key political messaging. The delegation will reportedly convey a message from Pir Pagara during the meeting. Furthermore, the GDA is anticipated to formally propose a role for JUI-F within the opposition framework in Sindh, as political stakeholders continue to explore shifting alliances in the region.

In a related context, Maulana Fazal ur Rehman recently called for comprehensive medical facilities to be provided to Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), while he is held at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. Addressing the media, he emphasized that Imran Khan, as a prominent political leader, should receive all necessary healthcare services during his custody.

He further urged that Imran Khan be allowed to consult his personal doctors for medical examinations, underscoring that human compassion and traditional values demand full medical care for the detained leader. Maulana Fazal ur Rehman also warned against turning political differences into personal animosities, stating that such hostility harms society. He stressed that politics should be a tool for public welfare rather than enmity.
