Pakistan has welcomed another petrol tanker, signaling ongoing improvements in the supply chain amid the Iran war. The vessel, MT Petazoli, arrived from Jizan Port carrying 38,965 metric tonnes of motor oil and is scheduled to dock at the FOTCO terminal.

Meanwhile, the port is managing several other vessels, including two coal ships and one palm oil carrier currently anchored offshore. In the last 24 hours, port officials handled a total of 10 vessels, demonstrating active maritime operations.

At present, the port accommodates two container ships, five bulk cargo vessels, and three tankers transporting petroleum products. Cargo throughput data reveals that 168,850 metric tonnes were processed recently, comprising 136,936 metric tonnes of imports and 31,914 metric tonnes of exports.

Within the same period, eight ships arrived while two departed, with three more vessels expected to leave soon. Port authorities have confirmed that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure efficient cargo handling and timely vessel turnaround.

In a significant development, maritime experts highlighted that the importation of substantial quantities of crude oil and petrol will contribute to stabilizing the supply chain and securing fuel availability nationwide. Analysts further emphasized that the punctual arrival of oil tankers is crucial for supporting refinery operations and maintaining a consistent supply of petroleum products in the market.
