The Met Office has issued a forecast predicting rainfall across Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir starting from April 1 through April 4. Meanwhile, Sindh is expected to experience similar weather conditions from April 2 to April 4.

In a significant development, a westerly weather system is expected to approach southwestern Balochistan on April 1, continuing to affect the region and adjoining areas until April 4. This system is likely to bring heavy rainfall and hailstorms in isolated locations.

Several districts in Balochistan, including Panjgur, Turbat, Kech, Awaran, Makran Coast, and Lasbella, are forecast to receive substantial rain accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in districts such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, and Kalam, with snowfall predicted over mountainous zones.

Punjab and Islamabad will also witness rainfall with strong winds and thunderstorms. Cities including Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Sargodha are expected to see rain, while Dera Ghazi Khan and nearby areas may experience heavy downpours.

Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir will face rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with snowfall in elevated regions. Some localities might also encounter heavy rain and hailstorms during this period.

Notably, parts of Sindh such as Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad, and Sukkur are forecast to receive rain, wind, and thunderstorms along with isolated hailstorms from April 2 to 4.

The Met Office has further indicated that daytime temperatures are likely to decrease nationwide. This weather pattern may continue even beyond April 4, prolonging the unsettled conditions across the country.
