American singer and actress Demi Lovato, aged 33, is gearing up for her upcoming “It’s Not That Deep” tour scheduled to launch in April. While promoting her new cookbook, One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food, she expressed enthusiasm about this new chapter in her career.

Speaking at the 92NY event in New York City on March 17, Lovato described this phase as “very celebratory” and “fun,” reflecting the upbeat spirit of her latest album. She explained that the album captures her current state of happiness, saying, “I’m happier than ever, and I wanted my music to reflect that.”

Despite her joy, Lovato admitted to feeling some nerves before performances. “I’m very, very excited and a little overwhelmed—a little nervous—but I can’t wait to see everybody on the road,” she shared.

She also revealed her eagerness to perform songs from the new album as well as fan favorites from her previous work. Additionally, she hinted at the possibility of introducing brand-new material during the tour.

In a significant development, Lovato identified “Sorry to Myself” as the song she is most excited to perform live. She connected this track to the themes of her cookbook, which draws inspiration from her ongoing recovery journey from eating disorders. Reflecting on her past struggles, she said, “I went through so much, and I kind of put myself through hell for a long time, and I’m sorry to myself for that.” She emphasized that the song and book are about empowerment and reclaiming her personal story.
