Andy Muschietti, director of the upcoming Batman film within the DC Universe (DCU), has addressed the ongoing rumors about the casting of the lead role. The new DC movie, titled “Brave and the Bold,” has yet to finalize its Batman star, sparking widespread speculation among fans online.
Names such as Alan Ritchson, Jonathan Bailey, and Jensen Ackles have been frequently mentioned on social media as potential candidates for the iconic role. In response to this buzz, Muschietti, who also directed “The Flash,” commented on the fan casting theories, encouraging continued guessing while leaving the door open to suggestions.
In an interview, Muschietti reflected on whether he has specific actors in mind for Batman, stating, “Do I have ideas about actors to play Batman? Absolutely, I do. I have guys I like. I have guys that are at the top of the list, just like I had people that were at the top of the list for Superman.” He added that fans might correctly guess some of his choices.
Meanwhile, Barbara Muschietti, Andy’s sister and producer on the project, shared her enthusiasm for the growing curiosity and engagement from audiences. She remarked, “I love our people, love our audiences, but in the end, you know, I think that the one thing that we get to do is to pick our cast.” This highlights the creative control the team retains despite the widespread fan speculation.
