Lahore Qalandars won the toss and opted to bat first in their second Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 match against Karachi Kings at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

The playing line-ups for the match are as follows: Lahore Qalandars include Mohammad Naeem, Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Parvez Hossain Emon, Haseebullah Khan (wicketkeeper), Sikandar Raza, Usama Mir, Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Haris Rauf, Mustafizur Rahman, and Ubaid Shah. Karachi Kings’ squad features David Warner (captain), Muhammad Waseem, Salman Agha, Saad Baig, Mohammad Nabi Ali, Khushdil Shah, Azam Khan (wicketkeeper), Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, Adam Zampa, and Mir Hamza.

Historically, Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings have clashed 22 times in PSL competition. Karachi Kings hold an advantage with 14 victories, while Lahore Qalandars have won 8 encounters. Their most recent meeting was in the PSL 10 Eliminator, where Lahore secured a six-wicket win and eventually claimed the championship. During the previous season’s league stage, both teams managed one win apiece.

Both sides enter this fixture with positive momentum after winning their opening matches. Lahore Qalandars achieved a commanding 69-run victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen, while Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 14 runs. Lahore currently enjoy a five-match winning streak, whereas Karachi have lost two of their last five games.

Meanwhile, earlier on Sunday at the same venue, Quetta Gladiators, led by Saud Shakeel, earned their first PSL 11 win by defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen by 40 runs. Defending a total of 175, Quetta’s bowling attack performed strongly, restricting Hyderabad to 134 for 8 in their 20 overs. Alzarri Joseph took an early wicket by dismissing Saim Ayub, and Abrar Ahmed followed with two quick wickets, leaving Hyderabad struggling at 17 for 2.
