Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding his sister, Dr Fazeela Abbasi, who is currently facing allegations of money laundering. On Friday, Abbasi took to Instagram to respond to rumors linking him to the ongoing investigations after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) filed two separate cases against Dr Fazeela.

He firmly stated that he is not involved in the case and is not under investigation by any agency. Abbasi wrote that despite his name being mentioned in connection with his sister’s allegations, he has no part in the matter.

In his message, Abbasi expressed unwavering support for Dr Fazeela, highlighting her as a successful professional with an independent career. He emphasized his familial bond and confidence in her integrity, asserting that her perspective deserves to be heard. He also expressed trust in the institutions to deliver justice and uncover the truth.

Abbasi requested that he not be asked for further comments on the case, noting that it remains sub-judice and that any decision to speak publicly lies solely with Dr Fazeela. He warned that continued media association of his name with the case might lead to legal action.

The FIA has registered two cases against Dr Fazeela: one concerning alleged money laundering linked to the Commercial Banking Circle, and another related to operating an unregistered clinic.
