Five Injured in Abu Dhabi After Ballistic Missile Intercepted Near Industrial Hub

Five individuals sustained injuries and multiple fires erupted in Abu Dhabi following the fall of debris from an intercepted ballistic missile over the city’s industrial zone on Saturday. The injured, all of Indian origin, suffered wounds ranging from minor to moderate.

The incident took place near the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), a crucial trade and logistics center overseen by the AD Ports Group. Emergency responders quickly arrived to extinguish two separate fires caused by the missile fragments, with authorities currently managing the situation.

This event occurs amid escalating tensions in the region. Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, issued a strong warning after what he described as Israeli strikes targeting Iran’s key industrial and nuclear facilities. He alleged that these operations, reportedly coordinated with the United States, hit two major steel plants, a power station, and civilian nuclear sites.

Tehran has promised to impose a “heavy price” for these attacks, indicating a dangerous intensification in the direct conflict between the two countries.

In a notable development, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have instructed workers at industrial sites linked to the US or Israel to evacuate immediately. This directive has caused concern across global energy and manufacturing sectors, as the conflict’s impact threatens vital trade corridors such as KEZAD.

The targeting of economic zones signifies a serious escalation that could disrupt international supply chains already under pressure from ongoing Middle Eastern hostilities.
