Doctors Race During C-Section Surgeries at Lahore Hospital Sparks Outrage

In a disturbing incident at Lady Willingdon Hospital in Lahore, medical professionals reportedly transformed the operating room into a competitive arena, racing to complete C-section surgeries in the shortest time possible. This alarming behavior has raised serious concerns about patient safety and medical ethics, as the doctors appeared to prioritize speed and personal amusement over the well-being of their patients.

The incident came to light after a video surfaced showing the doctors engaging in this reckless competition during live surgical procedures. Despite strict regulations prohibiting any form of recording inside operating theaters, the medical staff involved disregarded these rules, further exacerbating the gravity of the situation. The footage has sparked widespread outrage among the public and medical community alike.

In response to the controversy, Punjab Health Secretary Azmat Mahmood has formally addressed the matter, emphasizing that such conduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. He has announced that stringent disciplinary measures will be taken against all doctors and staff members implicated in this incident. The Health Secretary underscored the importance of treating patients with dignity and respect, condemning any actions that undermine the sanctity of medical care.

This episode highlights the critical need for reinforcing ethical standards and oversight within healthcare institutions to ensure patient safety remains the utmost priority. Meanwhile, the authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to hold those responsible accountable and restore public trust in the medical system.
