These meetings took place during the AI for Good Summit, a prominent platform for advancing artificial intelligence and digital innovation globally.
In a notable interaction with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of IT Abdullah Al-Swaha, both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration in cutting-edge technologies. Minister Khawaja highlighted the steady growth of IT partnerships between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, underscoring mutual interests in emerging digital sectors. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to expanding joint initiatives that could benefit both countries’ technology landscapes.
Meanwhile, the meeting with Sri Lankan IT leader Hans Wijayasuriya focused on accelerating growth in the digital economy, enhancing e-governance frameworks, and promoting artificial intelligence sovereignty. The dialogue also brought attention to Pakistan’s IT exports to Sri Lanka, which reached $424,000 in the fiscal year 2025, signaling promising trade relations in the technology sector. Both sides agreed on the necessity of exchanging best practices and intensifying cooperation to further solidify their digital ties.
