Pakistan’s Interior Ministry Denies Reports of Pakistani Expulsions from UAE

The Interior Ministry of Pakistan has officially dismissed circulating rumors suggesting that Pakistani citizens are being expelled from the United Arab Emirates. This clarification comes amid growing concerns among the Pakistani expatriate community residing in the UAE, who form a significant portion of the workforce there. The ministry stressed that no directive or policy has been issued regarding the deportation of Pakistanis from the Gulf country.

Pakistani expatriates contribute substantially to the UAE’s economy, particularly in sectors such as construction, hospitality, and services. The denial of these rumors is crucial in maintaining calm and preventing unnecessary panic among the diaspora. Meanwhile, the Pakistani government continues to engage with UAE authorities to safeguard the rights and welfare of its nationals abroad.

In a significant development, this statement aims to counter misinformation that could affect bilateral relations and the social stability of Pakistani communities overseas. The Interior Ministry’s response highlights the importance of verifying information before dissemination, especially when it concerns international labor and migration issues. Such reassurances are vital for the millions of Pakistanis who rely on remittances from the UAE for their livelihoods back home.
