Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has voiced deep concern following an incident at the Khor Fakkan port in the United Arab Emirates, where debris from an intercepted projectile caused injuries to several civilians, including Pakistani nationals. The event occurred amid rising regional tensions linked to the conflict involving Iran.

In a statement on social media, the Prime Minister confirmed that Pakistan is maintaining close communication with Emirati authorities to provide necessary assistance to its citizens affected by the incident. He extended prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Reports indicate that at least three Pakistani nationals sustained injuries when debris from a drone or intercepted projectile fell near the port area. The UAE authorities have not reported any significant damage so far, and investigations into the cause and circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

In a significant development, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s solidarity with the UAE, describing the Emirati people as “brotherly.” He also called for restraint and urged all parties in the region to work towards de-escalation to prevent further instability.
