Dr. Badr Abdelatty, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, arrived in Islamabad this evening for an official visit to Pakistan. His trip comes at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
During his stay, the Egyptian minister is scheduled to hold discussions on regional developments and will meet with the Prime Minister. This visit underscores the strong and fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Egypt, as well as their ongoing cooperation on regional and international matters.
In a significant development, Dr. Abdelatty will take part in a quadrilateral meeting focused on the regional situation, which will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
Meanwhile, earlier today, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar. The two officials exchanged views on current regional and global developments, emphasizing the urgent need for de-escalation. The Qatari leadership expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s continuous efforts to foster peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. Both sides reaffirmed the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar and agreed to maintain close communication on unfolding developments.
Additionally, Senator Ishaq Dar spoke by phone with Sugiono, the Foreign Minister of Indonesia. Their discussion covered regional and international issues as well as bilateral matters, reaffirming the strong fraternal relations between Pakistan and Indonesia. Both ministers agreed to stay in close contact moving forward.
