Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Munam Zafar held a meeting with Inspector General (IG) Sindh Javed Alam Odho on Friday to deliberate on the prevailing law and order conditions in Karachi. The discussion focused extensively on the city’s security challenges and ongoing police operations.
During the meeting, IG Sindh provided a detailed briefing on current police initiatives targeting street crime and drug trafficking within Karachi. Both leaders also exchanged perspectives on strategies to address traffic violations effectively.
IG Odho underscored the adoption of modern, community-oriented policing techniques aimed at enhancing public safety across the metropolis. Munam Zafar and the IG concurred on the importance of collaborative efforts to restore peace and eliminate criminal activities from the city.
They expressed a shared commitment to enforcing traffic regulations rigorously to improve road safety. The JI Karachi Chief praised the police for their proactive measures in stabilizing the security environment and pledged his party’s full support for ongoing and future initiatives.
IG Sindh reiterated that overcoming Karachi’s crime and drug problems requires united action from all stakeholders, emphasizing the necessity of sustained cooperation to achieve a safer city.
