Malaysia has expressed its complete backing for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. This commitment was conveyed by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today.
In their cordial exchange, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked his Malaysian counterpart and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to sincere and genuine initiatives aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region. He also conveyed his gratitude for Malaysia’s strong endorsement of Pakistan’s leadership role in mediating the conflict.
Shehbaz Sharif provided an update on Pakistan’s latest diplomatic engagements, including his talks with leaders from Gulf countries and Iran, focused on facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran. In a significant development, Anwar Ibrahim praised Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership and shared details of his own discussions with global leaders, where he stressed the urgent need to end hostilities in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, both leaders exchanged Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and offered prayers for the unity and progress of the Muslim Ummah. They concluded the conversation by agreeing to maintain close communication as efforts continue to promote peace in the region.
