Prof Dr Hafeez Ur Rehman, President of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, commemorated Eid ul Fitr alongside Palestinian refugees and orphaned children from Gaza in Cairo, Egypt. Following the Eid prayers, Dr Hafeez Ur Rehman toured residential towers that have been specially constructed under Alkhidmat’s initiatives to provide shelter for families displaced by the conflict in Gaza. During his visit, he personally met with numerous Palestinian families, offering them warm Eid greetings and distributing gifts to the orphaned children. He spent meaningful time engaging with the children, bringing moments of joy and comfort amid their difficult circumstances.
Dr Rehman paid heartfelt tribute to the extraordinary resilience and unwavering patience demonstrated by Gaza’s displaced families. In addition to the visits, Alkhidmat Foundation organized a special luncheon in Al-Obour City dedicated to Gaza’s orphaned children and affected families. Addressing those gathered, Dr Hafeez Ur Rehman reaffirmed Alkhidmat Foundation’s unwavering pledge to stand by the Palestinian people. Earlier in the day, Dr Rehman offered Friday and Eid prayers at the historic Al-Azhar Mosque, one of Cairo’s most revered religious sites. Following the prayers, he held meetings with various dignitaries to discuss ongoing relief efforts and explore ways to enhance support for Gaza’s affected population. These discussions aimed to strengthen coordination and ensure the efficient delivery of aid.
Later, during a dinner meeting with Alkhidmat’s camp office staff and volunteers based in Cairo, Dr Rehman conducted a comprehensive review of the current relief operations. He extended his Eid greetings to the dedicated team and expressed deep appreciation for their tireless efforts in the field.
