A Lahore court on Monday prolonged the physical remand of four individuals by an additional four days in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual assault of two foreign women. The suspects, including the primary accused Ahmad Raza Dar, were presented before the court by police officials.
The investigating officer informed the court that mobile phones and the vehicle reportedly used in the crime had been recovered from the suspects. However, the recovery of ransom money remains pending. During the hearing, three suspects—Sikandar Aziz Khan, Hassan Raza, and Sajid Ali—were represented by advocate Salman Shahid, while no legal counsel appeared for Ahmad Raza Dar.
After considering the submissions, the court approved the extension of the suspects’ remand to allow further investigation.
This case originated from a first information report (FIR) filed at Lahore’s Defence C Police Station against five accused individuals, involving charges of kidnapping, extortion, and sexual assault of two foreign nationals—a Venezuelan and a Dutch woman.
On July 5, Lahore DIG Operations Faisal Kamran revealed that the two foreign women had arrived in Lahore on June 29 and were allegedly abducted shortly thereafter. Police initiated an investigation after identifying the vehicle involved and analyzing its movements through Safe City surveillance cameras.
The vehicle was tracked traveling along the motorway to Sargodha, prompting raids in Shahdara and Defence areas. DIG Kamran also stated that the first ransom call was received on July 1 from a man named Carlos, who mentioned that Spanish authorities had been alerted. On the same day, the Safe City Authority received an emergency helpline call related to the case.
Subsequently, four suspects were apprehended on July 2 after police traced phone numbers, vehicle information, and location data linked to the incident.
