The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police successfully resolved the murder case of businessman Amir Awan within hours, apprehending five individuals linked to the crime. The suspects were arrested following a coordinated effort that combined advanced technology with human intelligence.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday at Awan’s farmhouse located in the Orchard Scheme area, where the victim was fatally shot during a robbery. The arrested suspects hail from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and were captured during operations in Charsadda and Mardan districts.

Authorities revealed that the suspects were part of an organized robbery gang. They have been transferred to Islamabad for further interrogation. Statements from the victim’s wife and security personnel have also been recorded to aid the investigation.

police reports, five armed men carrying Kalashnikov rifles gained entry to the farmhouse by climbing through an unlocked window after injuring a security guard. The assailants then opened fire on Amir Awan, inflicting multiple gunshot wounds that left him critically injured. He was immediately taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical treatment but later died from his injuries.

The attackers fled the scene after stealing cash and other valuables from the property. CCTV footage circulating on social media shows masked individuals armed with weapons entering the premises. The First Information Report (FIR) was registered under Section 397, which addresses robbery involving deadly weapons.
