Aamir Awan, a prominent businessman and owner of Toyota Motors, was shot dead by armed intruders at his farmhouse in Islamabad, raising serious concerns about the security situation in the federal capital. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Shehzad Town police.

initial investigations, approximately five men armed with automatic weapons forcibly entered the residence and opened fire, killing Awan instantly inside his bedroom. CCTV footage capturing the suspects entering the property has emerged, offering crucial leads for investigators.

No arrests have been made yet, but police are actively pursuing the case. A formal complaint was lodged at Shehzad Town Police Station by the victim’s wife, who provided a detailed account of the attack in her statement.

She described that around 2:45 a.m., she was awakened by noise and found three armed men grappling with her husband in their room, while two others guarded a nearby window. Upon her attempt to raise an alarm, the assailants fired shots aimed at killing, striking Awan in the abdomen. He collapsed after sustaining critical injuries. The attackers then escaped through the window.

The complainant also reported that the assailants disarmed a security guard, taking his weapons, mobile phones, and cash, while another guard was confined to a room. She expressed confidence that the guards could identify the suspects if presented to them.

This brutal killing has intensified worries about Islamabad’s security, especially as the capital is currently hosting foreign ministers from various countries, with heightened security protocols and road closures in effect. Residents have questioned how such heavily armed men managed to infiltrate a high-security area and carry out the attack.

Authorities have assured that investigations are ongoing and efforts to apprehend the perpetrators continue.
