Karachi police successfully recovered a three-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted from Seaview Beach on the third day of Eid ul Fitr. The kidnapping case was registered at Darakhshan Police Station on March 25. To assist in locating the child, authorities circulated her photographs and details across social media platforms.
In a significant development, the South Investigation Police found the girl safe near Jackson Masan Chowk. A suspect named Abubakar has been apprehended, and further inquiries are underway to uncover more details about the incident.
The case was initially filed following a complaint by the child’s father, Waseem, a resident of Nazimabad. He explained that he had visited Seaview with his family for leisure on the third day of Eid ul Fitr. During the outing, his three daughters were with him; two ran toward the sea amid the crowd, prompting Waseem and his wife to chase after them, while the youngest, Warisha, was playing with sand on the beach.
Upon returning, the family realized Warisha was missing. Despite extensive searching, they could not locate her and alleged that unknown individuals had kidnapped their daughter. Waseem appealed to the public and authorities for her safe return.
Darakhshan SHO Rashid Ali noted that Seaview was crowded during the Eid holidays, with many children going missing over the three days. However, the police managed to reunite dozens of these children with their families, highlighting the challenges faced during such large gatherings.
