Barbie Ferreira has confirmed that she continues to maintain contact with her former co-stars from the HBO series Euphoria, despite departing the show after its second season three years ago. On April 3, during an appearance on the SiriusXM radio program The Morning Mashup, the actress who played Kat opened up about her current relationship with the cast.
While promoting her latest projects, Ferreira was asked about how closely she follows the show and stays connected with her former colleagues, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow. Ahead of the season 3 premiere on April 12, interviewer Ben Harlum inquired about her engagement with the series now that she is no longer part of it.
Ferreira responded affirmatively, stating that she does keep up with the show, though she admitted to having limited knowledge about the new season’s details. She humorously noted that even the cast members seem uncertain about upcoming storylines. “People always ask me questions about season 3. I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’ I don’t even think the girls know,” she remarked.
In a lighthearted exchange, Ferreira recalled asking if Trisha Paytas was involved in Euphoria, only to be told that even the cast was unsure. “I was like, ‘Is Trisha Paytas in Euphoria?’ And they’re like, ‘I don’t know.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re in it. How did you not know?’” she joked. Ferreira added that she had not seen any episodes until the trailers were released recently, which she found impressive and exciting.
In a significant development, Ferreira has previously addressed rumors surrounding her departure from the series. She dismissed speculation about on-set conflicts, emphasizing that she did not experience any victimization during season 2. Speaking on Dax Shepherd’s Armchair podcast, she said, “When people ask me about season 2, they come at me like I was some sort of victim to season 2, and I’m always like, ‘No, it’s okay, promise. It’s good.’”
She further explained that she was unintentionally drawn into drama she never sought and prefers not to fuel baseless rumors by addressing them. Ferreira stated, “I’m of the mindset that if it doesn’t exist, I’m not going to address it because then I’m adding fuel to it.”
