Kylie Jenner recently shared a heartfelt parenting moment that caught her off guard. The 28-year-old reality star and beauty entrepreneur revealed she was overcome with emotion after watching an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians alongside her 8-year-old daughter, Stormi.
During an appearance on Kid Cudi’s podcast Big Bro, Jenner recounted how Stormi had asked why her mother was famous. In response, Kylie sat her down to explain the family’s journey to worldwide recognition. “We started a television show when I was just a year older than you, and that’s why we’re all connected through it,” she told her daughter. When Stormi requested to watch the show, Kylie agreed.
While revisiting the early days of the Kardashian family’s rise to fame, Jenner carefully avoided more mature content but allowed Stormi to see some of the lighter moments. Unexpectedly, this experience triggered a strong emotional response in Kylie. “Afterward, I was so emotional. I don’t know what exactly hit me, but I found myself crying in bed,” she admitted. “Maybe it was seeing my daughter at the same age I was then, or just reflecting on my family and feeling grateful for everything we’ve accomplished, while also mourning the closeness we once shared living under one roof.”
She described the experience as deeply moving and surprising in its intensity. “It was very emotional, and I didn’t expect it to affect me so much,” added the founder of Kylie Cosmetics.
