Channing Tatum has openly discussed the intense physical and emotional challenges he has faced while recovering from recent shoulder surgery. In a candid Instagram video posted on March 30, the 45-year-old actor described his recovery as one of the toughest periods in his life, admitting to experiencing significant mental fluctuations throughout the process.
“It’s a good day, finally. This has been a rough one. I’ve been mentally up and down in my head more than I think I’ve ever been in my life,” Tatum shared, showing his shoulder scar in the sunlight. He noted that the scar is healing well and becoming less prominent, while also revealing that he is gradually regaining mobility, despite the muscle atrophy making him feel like a beginner in the gym.
In the caption accompanying the video, Tatum reflected on the emotional lows he has endured but expressed optimism about his recovery. “This one has been the lowest of the lows. But starting to come out the other side. Feeling better than I have in months mentally. 6 weeks till we start the Isle of Man TT motorcycle love story. So let the grind begin,” he wrote.
Earlier this year, in February, the Magic Mike star first disclosed his injury from a hospital bed, acknowledging the difficult road ahead. Weeks after, he provided a raw glimpse into his recovery by sharing a photo of his healing scar, which appeared more severe than he had initially anticipated.
