OGRA Raises LPG Prices in Pakistan for April 2026 by Rs 78.28/kg

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced a significant hike in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices for April 2026, increasing the rate by Rs 78.28 per kilogram. This adjustment has pushed the new LPG price to Rs 304.12 per kg, as confirmed by an official notification issued by OGRA on Tuesday.

In addition to the per kilogram increase, the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder has risen sharply by Rs 923.71. As a result, the price of an 11.8 kg household cylinder has escalated to Rs 3,588.59 from its previous level.

Notably, in March 2026, OGRA had implemented a minor reduction in LPG prices. The regulator had lowered the rate by Rs 0.21 per kilogram, setting the price at Rs 225.84 per kg. This adjustment led to a decrease of Rs 2.52 in the cost of an 11.8-kg domestic cylinder, which was then priced at Rs 2,664.88.

Officials clarified that the revised prices will be applicable nationwide, following the latest pricing mechanism established by the regulator. LPG remains a crucial energy source for domestic cooking and commercial use, especially in regions where natural gas supply is insufficient. Price modifications are periodically made based on market evaluations and regulatory approvals.
