In a comprehensive statement issued to commemorate the 86th anniversary of Pakistan Day, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) emphasized that despite ongoing challenges posed by terrorism and extremism, the armed forces remain resolute in their mission. Working closely with law enforcement agencies and the public, they continue to strive tirelessly to eliminate threats that jeopardize the country’s peace and stability.
The statement highlighted the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to defending Pakistan’s borders and maintaining internal order against all forms of aggression. Extending heartfelt congratulations to the citizens of Pakistan, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, praised the nation’s collective strength and determination. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that this decision was taken on Islamabad’s own initiative and in response to requests from allied Islamic nations, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkiye.
