Fatal Stabbing in Mardan: Afghan Nationals Involved in Deadly Attack on Youth

In a tragic incident that unfolded in Mardan on Monday, a minor disagreement escalated into a fatal stabbing, leaving one young man dead and two others wounded. The victim, identified as Khalil, aged 23, was attacked by a group of six Afghan nationals wielding knives. The brutal assault shocked the local community and raised serious concerns about public safety in the area.

Immediately after the attack, local police responded swiftly to the distress call and arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The injured individuals, along with the deceased, were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention and further investigation. Despite efforts to save Khalil, he succumbed to his injuries, deepening the grief of his family and friends.

Following the incident, law enforcement officials registered a formal first information report (FIR) at Hoti Police Station, naming all six Afghan nationals as suspects in the case. Four of the accused were apprehended shortly after, while authorities continue their search for the remaining two individuals. The police have intensified their efforts to bring all perpetrators to justice, emphasizing the seriousness of the crime.

The violent episode has sparked unrest among local residents, who have voiced strong demands for the government to take immediate action regarding the presence of Afghan nationals in the area. Many community members are urging authorities to prioritize the deportation of undocumented Afghan immigrants, citing concerns over rising crime and security challenges linked to their presence.

This incident follows another disturbing event just a day earlier in the Qasimi area of Katlang tehsil, where a woman and her two daughters were fatally shot inside their home. The attack also left two grandchildren injured, further highlighting the growing insecurity in the region. These consecutive violent episodes have intensified calls for enhanced law enforcement measures and stricter immigration controls to restore peace and protect local citizens.

As investigations continue, the police have assured the public that they are committed to ensuring justice for the victims and maintaining law and order. The community remains hopeful that these efforts will lead to a safer environment and prevent such tragedies from recurring in the future.
